My mother is a hairstylist, has been for 40 plus years. She is THE expert on hairspray, and has done her share of "polluting" the ozone. I have been exposed to many a brand of hair products. I personally don't use hairspray often, unless I'm gonna wear an "up-do". But when I do, it must help volumize and hold my hairstyle. I was excited to use NYM, I honestly have never heard of this brand until Influenster sent me my Sweetheart Voxbox.
The first thing I noticed about She's a tease is that the smell was terrible. Not pleasing, even a little bit. My daughter even held her nose and asked what the smell was. I can get past that, no biggie. I pride myself in being able to create an awesome up-do on my own head, I have long hair, down to the middle of my lower back. It takes a good bit of hairspray and Bobbie pins to get all my hair up the way I want it. She's a Tease did an excellent job of holding the volume I created with my comb. I have a lot a short whispy hair, so I need the hairspray to hold my hair where I've placed it so I doesn't fall in my face. This product did just ok holding my hair back. I need my hair to hold 6 plus hours and it just didn't hold it like I would prefer. I'm definitely willing to try other products of NYM but I will not be purchasing She's a Tease. I'd really like to try the Beach Babe texturing sea salt spray. Here's a pic of my most recent up-do.
